ABOUT
The Hunter College Theatre Department is a diverse community of students and award-winning faculty right in the heart of New York City and its vibrant theatre scene.
Our Bachelors of Arts curriculum balances history, theory, and practice by exploring time-honored theatrical traditions and contemporary performance in a liberal arts environment.
The Masters of Arts in Theatre offers the opportunity to study theatre history, theory, dramaturgy, playwriting, acting, and accomodates the various backgrounds and career goals of our diverse student body of theatre professionals, dramaturgs, and educators.
The Rita and Burton Goldberg MFA in Playwriting is an affordable, selective two-year program that fuses rigorous academic theatre classes with intensive, hands-on writing workshops.
